Draw the measured perimeter first. Split edges later in Design for partial wall styles.
Draw Info
0 vertices
Current Segment
none selected
Type a length, then click in the draw area to set the direction. Leave blank for normal drawing.
Field Inputs
Common cage wall height is 96". Change this per project.
Quick Notes
Use Draw for measured geometry only. Use Design to assign wall styles and edge roles by span.
Structural planning: explicit beam lines, purlin lines, and engineering sizes.
Layout Plan
Leave blank for 100" default. Increase for wider bays (e.g. 120, 144).
Rise from wall top to the cap over the first bay. The angle is solved from the bays.
AUTO clears custom lines. MANUAL/HYBRID uses entered lines; leave either axis blank for automatic spacing.
Engineering Member Plan
Roof type is set per zone in the panel on the right — it is seeded from the scope you picked.
Select a perimeter segment, split it if needed, then assign edge role and wall style to that span.
Selected Span
none selected
Enter distance in inches from the first vertex of the selected edge.

Edge Role
OPEN = no wall on this edge
EDGE ATTACHMENT
What does this edge connect to?
GUTTER EXTENSION
Extend gutter beyond cage footprint.
HEIGHTS
How high the house is where we land on it — not the cage.
Blank uses the job’s wall height. Pan, Elite and half mansard roofs
follow a wall set here. Mansard and gable roofs meet every wall at one height — a wall set differently is flagged below, not built.
WALL FILL
What fills the opening below the roof?
SCREEN
This wall: job default
CARRY BEAMS
Screen panels max 13ft (156"). Auto places carry beam at 156" for walls over 13ft.
CHAIR RAILS
Auto: 36" base + evenly split to wall top when gaps exceed 8ft.
ELITE WALL
3" Elite panels from the slab up. Screen above it to the roof. Priced per sqft of wall.
RAILING
INTEGRATED: 2x2 top rail that takes screen, cage 1x2 base as the bottom, pickets between. INSIDE / OUTSIDE: standard railing on its own posts, set off the wall.
PW HEADER HEIGHT
Where PW stops and screen begins.
KNEE BRACES
A diagonal from each picture-window post up to the header. An end with no post (a bend you took the post out of) gets none.
in each way
SCREEN TYPE
PW edges auto-use Super Screen
ROOF
One roof per zone. A cage with no dividers has one zone, so this reads as
the roof. Split it below and each side gets its own.

DIVIDERS
None
Click + ADD DIVIDER then click two vertices to split into zones.
HALF MANSARD OPTIONS
Hip termination for outermost bay.
Standard: edge beams run to front wall.
CAP ANCHOR
Standard: cap = wall + bayยท26ยฐ. Gutter: cap pins to the gutter front lip (TBSGโ1โณ) and the slope angle solves to meet the wall. Needs a Gutter/Fascia Height set on the gutter edge.
Standard: cap height driven by bay run and 26ยฐ.
GABLE SLOPE MATCH
When a gable zone shares this roof, match its pitch to the half-mansard's slope so the roofline reads uniform.
Gable uses its own 26ยฐ pitch.
GUTTER / FASCIA HEIGHTS
Edge โ , length: โ
Heights are from the slab. PEAK is the middle point of the run (a peak, or the knee where it stops rising); PEAK AT is measured from the start of the edge. Leave PEAK on the straight line for a plain ramp.
A peak no higher than its ends runs the fascia straight.
ADVANCED โ BREAK POINTS
Distance from edge start (in) + TBSG height (in).
CARPORT CONFIG
3" pan on 2x6 SMB carriers, 3x3 uprights at the plan spacing. Heights are at the house side and the front posts.
Bay widths in order, feet-inches or inches. Blank = 10' bays.
UTILITY SHED
3x3 corners, 2x3 studs in 3" receivers, 4x8 board. Walls run up to the carport pan above them.
ELITE ROOF CONFIG
0.25 = min per Valkyrie ยท 0.5 = visible slope
Edge numbers as shown on the plan (edge 1, edge 2 …)
